Modeling and Simulation Exercise Planner

The Opportunity: 

This opportunity is for someone with technical skills, big-picture thinking, a tactical level orientation and the desire to make an impact in national defense through the application of operational military programs within a modeling, simulation and planning environment. This person must understand the U.S. military structure and in particular the space domain in order to fully utilize existing training system tools that will be employed for local and distributed training audiences. The ability to translate real-world military requirements into warfighting competency makes you an integral part of supporting the delivery of warfighter training that matters. As a Modeling and Simulation Exercise Planner on our team, you’ll directly participate in the planning, assessment and evaluation of training audiences who are required to employ space-based capabilities. Your participation on this team will require learning, management and use of computer-based analytical tools and your technical expertise will be vital as you develop, and update simulations based on operational necessities. You’ll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive modeling, simulation and military training of the space force.

You Have:  

  • 4+ years of experience in service at one of the branches of the U.S. military

  • Experience with simulated environments or scenario development that meet individual and unit training requirements

  • Knowledge of C2BMC, JMDTS, WASABI, PDS-M, STK

  • Knowledge of Orbital Mechanics

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers

  • Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings

  • Ability to follow operational analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with developing scripts to customize model behaviors and decisions in an analytical scenario

  • Knowledge of RAPTR, BORG, SIDC, NYX, and FROST

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
