The Opportunity:

Be part of the team that meets the Space Force client’s vision through transformation and enables assured access to space for our nation. As the Project Manager, you’ll work closely with a space launch Program Integration Office (PIO) Program Manager, and a range of diverse stakeholders, to track infrastructure buildout projects through planning and execution, including funding and budget management, scheduling, generating briefings, and briefing leadership on projects. You’ll ensure projects are adequately staffed, update and maintain project dashboards and schedules, manage risk, and communicate frequently with internal and external project stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables. You’ll work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for an expert like you to drive solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. 

As a leader on our team, you’ll oversee the execution of a space launch infrastructure roadmap to meet the client’s vision. You will partner with clients to gather requirements and put into action the best practice and solution. You’ll move quickly in an exciting and fluid environment to adapt best practices to meet project milestones and implement metrics to track progress while engaging with multiple stakeholders. You’ll oversee the work we do for the DoD and the solutions we deliver for critical military missions.

You Have: 

  • 7+ years of experience with large project and program management

  • 7+ years of experience with executing projects managing multiple project components simultaneously

  • Experience with briefing senior leaders and effectively communicating complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams in a collaborative environment and use Microsoft Word to write, edit, and format complex documents

  • Knowledge of facilities operations and maintenance

  • Ability to work directly with clients applying principles of the civil engineering enterprise, including policy and guidance

  • Ability to be highly motivated, and demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and desire to contribute to the mission

  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree


Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with basing actions, programming, and real property management

  • Experience with working on a Spaceport

  • Experience in a flexible environment and interacting with multiple stakeholders for project success

  • Experience with executing a risk management plan for a program

  • Knowledge of DoD civil engineering organizations and capabilities, including the Air Force

  • Knowledge of innovative technologies, products, and services that are cost-effective throughout the facility life cycle

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional Engineer License or Registered Architect Certification

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
