Cyber Security Tools SME

The Opportunity:  

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in maintaining cyber security tools to protect our nation? As an information security risk specialist, you can identify cyber security solutions needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect our nation's military capabilities. 

As a Cyber Security Tools SME on our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of cyber security tools, such as Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), among others. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining cyber security tools in a client enterprise environment, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. You’ll work on translating security concepts for your client so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission critical systems in support of current deployed military operations. You’ll provide expertise in the development, direction, and implementation of enterprise network cyber defense capabilities. You will apply familiarity with the utilization, configuration, and implementation of cyber defense capabilities. You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with installing and configuring cybersecurity tools, including HBSS and ACAS

  • Experience working with STIGs, SCAP, and cybersecurity best practices

  • Experience with Windows, including installing, configuring, or maintaining servers, operating systems, and applications

  • Experience applying security fixes and patches to operating systems and applications

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD 8570 IAT II or III certification, including Security+ CE

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience supporting risk management framework (RMF) processes

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence

  • Experience with automated test programs, including Ranorex

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • HBSS 201 and 301 and ACAS course completion certificates

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
