Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Role:

Serve as a Quality Assurance (QA) professional and conduct planning, development, engineering, and management of production activities applied in the design and development of a program to reduce the risk of non-conformance to requirements. Develop and maintain QA strategies and plans, provisions, specifications, and associated contract language. Review and analyze policies and regulations for their impact on QA programs and provide feedback on draft publications, specifications, or regulations. Manage the development and execution of final inspection, manufacturing processes, and procedures. Perform audits and surveillance at multiple facilities and lead problem-solving activities. Document lessons learned and continue to drive continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities within QA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in collaborating with multifunctional teams of engineers, logistics specialists, quality specialists, fielding managers, system acquisition managers, procurement analysts, budget managers, defense contractors, test and evaluation directors, or contracting officers to certify and quality advance manufacturing technology

  • Experience with providing independent oversight and review of project deliverables, including specs, SOWS, qualification plans, test plans and reports, and on-site monitoring of subsystem and component testing

  • Experience with the implementation of quality assurance strategy to ensure advanced manufacturing processes yield conforming product

  • Ability to review, evaluate, and approve qualification test plans as well as Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Reports (FACAR) associated with testing

  • Ability to develop and apply a process control plan that leverages Quality tools DFMEA, PFMEA, or SPC in the certification and qualification of an advanced manufacturing process

  • Ability to participate in the change management process to assure products or services continue to meet customer requirements and provide the quality review or concurrence function for engineering changes

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DoD contractor manufacturing and quality assurance processes

  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,400.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
