The Opportunity: 

As an acquisition management professional, you know that both sides of the acquisition and contracts life cycle are pivotal to your clients’ missions. We’re looking for someone like you to be a liaison to the government. Bring your passion to support pre- and post-award federal contracts and improve the processes that defend our nation. 

As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country’s defense acquisition and contract process. On our team, you’ll draft full RFP packages, including create statements of work, whitepapers, lists of assumptions, cost models, and informational briefings. Collaborate with VHA Acquisition Centers, and Federal Government Leads to guide task order development and ensure timelines are met through the delivery of tangible work products, including technical writing and editing, professional PowerPoint presentations, and infographics.

You’ll complete procurement request packages and be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You’ll provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project’s success. From creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you’ll deliver meaningful acquisition support.   

You'll assist with government led analysis and alternatives using critical thinking skills, ROIs, market research, and planning activities ranging from tactical to strategic. You'll track and shepherd acquisitions through the IJP process. Example work products for acquisition package documentation, including requirement refinement, Performance Work Statement, QASP, IGCE, and Inherently Governmental and Critical Functions Memos.

You Have: 

  • Experience assisting with government led analysis and alternatives using critical thinking, return on investments, market research, and planning activities ranging from tactical to strategic
  • Experience tracking acquisitions through the customer approval processes
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and processes to apply policies to federal program plans 
  • Ability to perform scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including writing and editing project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, and proofreading of draft and final documents
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, or Computer Engineering, or a scientific or clinical field and 4+ years of experience in a professional acquisition or project management work environment, or 8+ years of experience in a professional acquisition or project management work environment in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
  • Experience with the VA preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
