Acquisitions Team Lead and SME

As an acquisition management professional, you know that both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle are pivotal to your clients’ missions. As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country’s defense acquisition and contract process. On our team, you’ll draft full RFP packages, including support Government lead and Contractor Project Director for Acquisition Support through review, analysis, market research, and development of IT acquisition packages in compliance with regulations and standards. You’ll perform technically in-depth market research by providing short suspense analyses, acquisition issue papers, briefings, information papers, technical analysis, review of policy and guidance, and other reviews to guide senior-level VA decision-making.

You’ll complete procurement request packages and be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You’ll provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project’s success. From creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you’ll deliver meaningful acquisition support.

You'll support capture of technical outcomes that influence acquisition strategies and mitigate risks consistent with cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements. You will support definition and documentation of acquisition package requirements impacting full life cycle development, implementation, and integration of requirements queued under PMO in relation to the implementation with legacy HER and ERP systems. You’ll lead a team of Acquisition SMEs and Acquisition Support staff.

You Have:

  • Experience leading a team of Acquisition SMEs and Acquisition Support staff.
  • Experience capturing technical outcomes that influence acquisition strategies and mitigate risks consistent with cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.
  • Experience performing scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including the writing and editing of project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, and proofreading of draft and final documents
  • Knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisitions Requirement Supplemental (DFARS)
  • Ability to attend meetings and workshops to present on project work and participate in discussions
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, or Computer Engineering, or a scientific or clinical field and 4+ years of experience in a professional acquisition or project management work environment or 8+ years of experience in a professional acquisition or project management work environment in lieu of a degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
