Artificial Intelligence Learning Strategist

The Opportunity:   

Do you want to develop learning development programs that will transform the field of data science and artificial intelligence (AI) in the federal government? As an AI learning strategist, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have meaningful impact without the right training. Constructing engaging learning opportunities that teach critical information and tradecraft requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your end user. We have an opportunity for an AI learning strategist who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in the federal government by developing transformational data science and AI learning programs that help our clients adopt AI solutions efficiently and effectively.

As a leader on our team, you’ll work with data science and AI professionals to capture training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help us accomplish our mission to become the largest provider of AI consulting to the government. You will design and develop learning and talent strategies that transform our clients’ workforce to keep pace with an ever-evolving technology landscape. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll provide strategic rigor as the team designs training material, performance support tools, and learning application experiences. You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experiences. You’ll recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning and gamification to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with subject matter experts throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. You Have: 

  • 6 years of experience with leading learning and development programs and designing and developing learning and talent development strategies

  • Experience with developing training material and plans for technical and non-technical staff

  • Experience with authoring instructional materials, defining learning objectives, and developing knowledge assessments 

  • Experience with analyzing existing learning programs, identifying gaps, and recommending strategies for enhancing and scaling learning opportunities 

  • Experience with building performance support tools, skills application experiences, or mentorship programs to supplement content learned in the classroom

  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory

  • Ability to assess learning needs, collaborate with content subject matter experts, and design instructional content accordingly

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with training program evaluation, including the Kirkpatrick Model

  • Experience with developing data science, analytics, or AI training programs

  • Knowledge of a diverse range of data science tools, including R or Python and tradecraft, including AI

  • Knowledge of user centered design

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning, Instructional Design, or a related field

  • Instructional Design Certification

  • Change Management Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
