Business Analyst and General Management Consultant, Mid

The Opportunity:  

To grow effectively, organizations need help looking at their operation from the outside. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization, including merger or split-up, our clients need a consultant who will take the time to learn the complexities of their mission and provide them with tangible advice on business process improvements, mission success, and standard methodologies. 

That’s why we need you, a management consultant who can analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision. As a general management consultant on our team, you’ll develop an overall picture of your client’s current structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. 

On our team, you’ll use discussions and workshops with stakeholders and team members to identify the elements that work best in their environment and the areas for improvement. Once you have a thorough understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you’ll work on a path forward with the team and client.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with consulting or business analysis

  • Experience with creating technical requirements to improve business processes and develop solutions leveraging the software development life cycle 

  • Experience with working in cross-functional, Agile teams to design large-scale digital solutions that meet business objectives

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite of tools

  • Experience in working collaboratively with team members, clients, and stakeholders 

  • Ability to break down complex problems, identify dependencies and constraints, resolve conflicts, and prioritize needs 

  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, comprehend the intent of a client’s needs, and help to shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities 

  • Public Trust

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • 1+ years of experience as a Product Owner 

  • 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master 

  • Experience with using Jira and Confluence for Agile development, or related tools

  • Possession of excellent documentation, organization, interpersonal, and analytical skills  

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills 

  • Master's degree

  • Agile Certification

Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
