Cloud Engineer

Key Role:

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including IAM, templates, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), encryption, volume management, serverless functions, monitoring, messaging, networking, and containerization and deployment
  • Experience working with sensitive data
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including Python or Bash
  • Knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or APIs
  • Ability to use strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients to solve and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with other common cloud service providers, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with data engineering tools and big data modeling, architecture, and ETL processes
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, graph databases, including Neo4j, Snowflake, and FiveTran, Business Intelligence tools, Terraform, and solution architecting
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues with business leaders to drive business through cost avoidance and resource management and optimization
  • Master's degree
  • Solutions Architectures and DevOps Engineering Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
