The Opportunity:

As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for climate and infrastructure initiatives across the federal government.  

As a data architect on our climate and infrastructure team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for cloud technologies, service-oriented architecture, and big data analytics. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by leading teams to make decisions and recommendations on future architecture developments.

In this role, you’ll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices and modern tools to develop platforms, data models, and ETL processes. You’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met, and solutions are delivered.

You Have:   

  • 15+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing data platforms

  • 10+ years of experience leading technical teams in the development and delivery of cloud infrastructure and data management projects   

  • Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker

  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, Java, SQL, Go, and Node.js

  • Experience with project organization and tracking tools, including JIRA and Confluence

  • Knowledge of federal government contracting and project management

  • Ability to develop and present complex information and strategic vision to senior level government clients and internal leadership   

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree  

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience working with federal civilian agencies 

  • Knowledge of both front-end and back-end development  

  • Ability to support multiple engagement simultaneously, including client engagements and internal marketing and proposal efforts   

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
