Joint Intelligence Planner, Senior

The Opportunity

As an Intelligence Planner, you will use your specialized regional and functional experience and your attention to detail to assist in the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters.

As an Intelligence Planner, you’ll employ your intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of Defense and National intelligence support capabilities across the DoD. Mission areas for Intelligence Planner assistance include the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Additionally, you will assist with intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process. You’ll work as part of an intelligence planning team and ensure intelligence equities are integrated into strategic and operational-level military planning or execution. You'll provide intelligence support to campaign, contingency, and crisis planning. You'll document intelligence resourcing gaps and shortfalls and develops mitigation strategies. You'll integrate intelligence products and services supporting the Joint Planning Process (JPP). You'll synchronize intelligence cycle supporting collection, analysis, production, and targeting in the JPP. You will also sssist with intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process.

You Have:  

  • 2+ years of experience in Joint Planning Processes 

  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process and outputs, including JIPOE, Center of Gravity Analysis, Enemy Course of Actions, or Annex B 

  • Ability to provide all-source intelligence analysis and assessments 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam  

  • Bachelor’s degree  


Nice If You Have:  

  • Ability to brief senior defense and government officials  

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Master’s degree 

  • DoD Intelligence Planning course certifications

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
