Management Consultant

Key Role: 

Work with government organizations to assess, analyze, design, and implement recommendations. Leverage experience with business process analysis, change management, and other general management consulting activities. Analyze client organization and business processes using industry best practices, methods, and tools. Assist with knowledge capture interviews with client staff. Assess results of interviews and provide recommendations for improvement using industry best practices and expertise. Develop process documentation that are structured, streamlined, and well-communicated to meet client needs. Analyze process standards and metrics to provide solutions for improvements. Support implementation activities using change management approaches and interact with client personnel and senior leadership to accomplish project objectives. Work in a team environment and client project settings and provide expertise to client engagements and project work streams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting clients in enterprise transformation and operational improvement, including BPR, knowledge management, and change management, in a consulting environment
  • Experience capturing institutional knowledge with clients through methods such as interviews, policy review, and systems analysis
  • Experience working with clients to document, map, and improve business processes
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or professional services environment 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to develop and manipulate Visio process maps, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations and deliverables
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to deliver in-project settings that require a grasp of cross-functional subject matter, including people, process, and technology aspects of change
  • Ability to provide professional services to the federal government 
  • Ability to translate information, develop insights, and work alongside clients at client sites 
  • Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Possession of excellent analytical and data gathering skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
