Job Description
Key Role:
Provide excellent customer service and support to a Navy client who is transforming legacy combat system architecture and software processes to a shipboard cloud environment and implementing DevSecOps in a CD/CI pipeline for rapid tactical software updates. Provide thought leadership and work closely with the client to develop, communicate, and execute transformation plans and provide status to the team and senior leaders. Represent and support the client at leadership briefings and other stakeholder engagements. Provide strategic and tactical recommendations for both programmatic and technical issues. Maintain and drive program schedules and milestones. Leverage understanding of the challenges associated with the transition from legacy IT to modern cloud IT with modern software development techniques in a secure environment and interact with both senior leaders and technical staff. Provide strategic communications guidance and recommendations, prepare high level briefings, identify and track stakeholder engagements, and provide the client with recommendations on engaging stakeholders to deliver and garner support to key transformation initiatives. Identify and nurture key internal and external stakeholder relationships. Lead and supervise a team.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with IT, software development, and system architectures
5+ years of experience with managing multidisciplinary IT projects
Experience with weapons and sensor systems, including requirements and architectures, and modern software development frameworks and processes, including DevOps, CD/CI, and the tools and processes used to develop, test, and deploy code
Knowledge of organization cultural challenges associated with modernizing hardware and software processes
Ability to create and execute complex technical plans and schedules and identify and manage risks
Ability to use MS Office apps, including generating compelling messaging and presentations in PowerPoint
Ability to make connections, understand organizations and roles, work with multiple stakeholders, build consensus in a highly collaborative environment, and communicate to senior managers, senior technical leaders and executive level staff clearly
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in an IT or Software field or 10+ years of experience in working with DevSecOps, software factory, or IT transformation projects in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with legacy IT system transition to cloud environments and code refactoring
Experience with Navy shipboard integrated combat and sensor systems
Experience with government contracts, including structure, risks, subcontractor, and management
Knowledge of zero trust architectures, secure edge computing, virtualization and containerization and the associated hardware and software architectures, and MBSE frameworks
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
