The Opportunity:

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Specifically, you will support the agency’s nationwide health innovation network, ARPANET-H. This network is anchored by three client regional hubs. The hubs will be mission-focused, regional centers with a growing network of with a growing network of spokes from around the country representing the diversity of people, settings, and capabilities that encompass the American health ecosystem. The Customer Experience hub - based in Dallas, TX – and the Investor Catalyst hub – based in the greater Boston area, MA – are each supported by a consortium with a nationwide network of spokes to bring together the nation’s voices, resources, and needs.

You'll serve as a network collaborator helping clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, build relationships, and effectively manage collaborations for client engagements. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, overseeing collaborations within ARPANET-H projects, and operating in a fast-moving environment to enable the mission's success.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential collaborations with ARPA-H Program Managers, champions within the government, and the Customer Experience (CX) Hub and Investor Catalyst (IC) Hub of ARPANET-H
  • Scope promising collaborations into committed projects with workplans, clear roles, budgets, and concrete deliverables
  • Build strong relationships with technical experts and senior leaders in fast-moving environment to align on goals, adapt to project shifts, and troubleshoot setbacks. This includes engaging frequently with ARPA-H Program Managers and other U.S. Government champions to understand their program and performer needs
  • Oversee ARPANET-H collaboration projects, serving as lead point of contact for both the Program Manager/U.S. Government champion and the relevant hub (CX Hub or IC Hub)
  • Ensure the relevant hub is meeting goals, the Program Manager/U.S. Government champion is providing guidance and feedback, and all involved parties are working smoothly together
  • Communicate effectively and to senior counterparts in oral presentations and written narratives, such as on the rationale for a collaboration project, its value in advancing a health innovation, and its benefits

You Have:

  • Experience developing and launching new initiatives with demonstrated creativity, appetite for risk
  • Experience building multi-stakeholder partnerships across the private sector, public sector, and nonprofit sector
  • Experience in interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
  • Ability to develop solutions despite opposing opinions
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Ability to both provide structure around ambiguity and adapt to frequent change
  • Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively
  • Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 17 years of experience in management or design consulting, finance, pharmaceutical research or market access, or a startup environment, or Master’s degree and 15 years of experience in management or design consulting, finance, pharmaceutical research or market access, or a startup environment

  • Experience with commercializing products or bringing new technologies or solutions to market such as business plan development, supply chain strategy, and customer segmentation
  • Experience with human-centered design
  • Experience engaging with underserved communities on health initiatives, products, or services
  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
