Pharmacy Payment Policy Lead

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in payment policy and operations, pharmacy services, and health plan audits and compliance. Lead and grow a diverse team with the responsibility to perform advanced analyses and studies of claims and administrative data. Advise clients in their efforts to identify and assess improper payments in the program by providing pharmacy and subject matter expertise. Leverage client specific knowledge and network to lead, plan, and manage progressively larger and more complex programs. Provide program oversight contributing to project expansion, managing measurement approaches, and synergizing related programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a managerial role overseeing projects and diverse teams of technical experts
  • 10+ years of experience with Medicare Part D payment policy and operations and error measurement
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations
  • Experience with health plan audit and compliance programs
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage encounter data or Prescription Drug Event (PDE) data
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with delivering technical assistance to a wide range of stakeholders and using a variety of delivery techniques
  • Experience in facilitating large meetings with both internal and external audiences
  • Experience with the federal procurement and proposal process
  • Ability to maintain existing relationships and build new key relationships with programmatic and agency leaders 
  • Experience with Medicare claims or pharmacy claims such as 1500 claim forms, Part D NCPDP claims, UB-04, or NCPDP claims
  • Knowledge of statistical principles
  • Knowledge of analytic scripting, programming languages, and packages
  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
