Science and Technology Graphics Designer and Futurist

The Opportunity:

Do you have a keen eye for design, an imaginative mind, and a deep fascination with the future of science and technology? If you’re a creative professional who can envision and illustrate captivating Operating Environment 1 (OV1) scenarios using cutting-edge tools like DALL-E and more, we have an extraordinary opportunity for you!

As a Science and Technology Graphics Designer and Futurist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative of our organization’s innovative projects and ideas related to the future of science and technology. Your ability to create compelling OV1 scenarios and visionary graphics will help us communicate complex concepts and drive forward-thinking initiatives. In this role you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, and program managers, to gather information on complex concepts and then translate these concepts into visually engaging graphics. You will have the opportunity to think creatively and critically to design graphics that convey complex ideas in an accessible manner for use in high visibility project proposals, reports, and presentations.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience with graphic design and a focus on futuristic science- and technology-related visuals
  • Experience using advanced design tools, including DALL-E, Midjourney, MagicDraw, and other AI-powered applications
  • Experience with game scenario design and gaming engine tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to stay updated on the latest advancements in graphic design, visualization, and AI-powered tools
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience creating graphics for autonomous systems use cases
  • Experience developing OV1 scenarios
  • Possession of excellent creative thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts preferred; Master's degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
