Ship Production Manager

We have an opportunity for an acquisition program manager to join our team providing technical and administrative expertise and support services to a US Navy PEO in the execution of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) ship production, including communications management and expertise in technical programs and program support. You will directly facilitate the establishment of policies, and the execution of life cycle program management architecture to support project decision making and controlling program costs, schedules, and performance. You’ll work with program leadership to ensure effective and efficient program planning, implementation, monitoring and control solutions. You will coordinate and monitor ship production, construction, testing, and integration activities within the program office and work independently to provide analysis of program impacts. You will identify and create strategies supporting the accurate program management of new construction naval surface ships, including all installed systems, equipment, and components' system arrangements. Ensure version control processes, policies, and procedures are followed on internal and external communications and processes within the program, advise the program office leaders on program management, and interface with program stakeholders to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards.

You Have:

-15+ years of experience with shipyard production

-10+ years of experience with Department of Navy (DoN) shipbuilding

-Experience with Navy industry standards and best practices for new construction program management and shipboard configuration, including design changes, construction, ship alterations, and identification of how these alterations affect configuration, operations, and life cycle sustainment

-Experience with supporting the design, construction, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, or system architecture development

-Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes, including regulations, directives, and statutes, the Navy’s application of the DoD acquisition process, such as contracting and sea trials, and key naval ship acquisition roles and organizations

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification Level III Program Manager (PM)

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with US Navy Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) Freedom class variant production and delivery

-BS degree in Naval Architecture or ship engineering related field
