The Opportunity:
We are searching for the best and the brightest communicators who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds with our clients while also serving as strategic advisors to senior leadership in technology-focused speech writing.
As a Senior Technology-Focused Speech and Copywriter, we need someone with your talent and skills who is not just capable in their subject matter expertise, but someone who understands and can communicate the complex nature of emerging technology. That’s why we need you to ensure success with proven expertise in writing and effective communication.
The real force behind this project comes from communication, so you’ll work with other experts on the team to complete meaningful deliverables and make recommendations for improvements to peers and executive leadership. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you’ll have resources for support and the opportunity to learn new skills and tools. You Have:
7+ years of experience with writing executive-level speeches, including PowerPoint presentations and videos, briefings, web content, newsletter content, and facts sheets
Experience with writing in the technology space
Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style
Ability to provide a writing sample, including speeches, executive briefings, staff outreach, web content, newsletter content, or facts sheets, in technology or emerging technology space
Ability to research and write on topics, including benchmarking, emerging technologies, staff engagement and support, communications plans, technology management issues, and citing data sources and statistics
Ability to thrive in a variety of team setups
Ability to support occasional after-hours work 2-3 times a year to meet deadlines, as necessary
Ability to provide weekly activity reports, including bulleted activity documentation and a corresponding number of hours spent on each project
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with supporting executive-level clients, including a CEO, CIO, or CTO
Experience with journalism
Ability to handle fast-paced, shifting priorities and multiple concurrent assignments
Possession of excellent proactive interpersonal skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
