Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Collaborate with the Program and Engineering Team to evaluate and manage the system and subsystem requirements, develop test plans, and oversee the test and validation process to ensure completeness and compliance to contract. Explore and understand the real operational needs of our clients and end users in order to define the performance requirements of our systems to best meet their unique missions through the creation of formal System Requirements Definition documentation. Work with our technical team to identify and explore the technologies, interfaces and behaviors needed to meet those needs. Define and support test and integration activities, leading the team conducting verification and system validation as systems mature. Work with the technical and program teams to understand system deficits as a part of our iterative maturation process. Oversee operational life of the system to ensure fit-for-purpose.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems engineering, requirements, and testing

  • Experience with electronic standards and best practices, military standards, or non-military standards of environmental and electromagnetic test validation, including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, UL Safety standards, or Ingress Protection

  • Experience in managing requirements definition, derivation and tracking throughout the project lifecycle

  • Experience with technical risk or opportunity management

  • Knowledge of requirements management processes and software, including DOORs or JAMA

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Human Factors design and assessment

  • Experience with Hardware Engineering aspects of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Experience with leading technical teams
