CBRN Training, Readiness, and Exercises Specialist

The Opportunity: 
As an expert in defense missions, your unique skill set inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to help solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe. 

As a CBRN Training, Readiness, and Exercises Specialist, you’ll prepare CBRN training plans and attend planning conferences in support of Combatant Command and Training Readiness Oversight certifications while collaborating with thought leaders to manage the exercise program for CBRN interoperability. You will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and oversight of regional CBRN training events. You will provide CBRN subject matter expertise and exercise scenario scripting to train the staff, Major Subordinate Commands, and CBRN response elements, as requested. You will use your skills to develop training and exercise funding requirements for input to annual budget and POM cycle. You will manage allocation and status of training funds execution with command resource managers.


Work with us to maintain the command’s CBRN Common Operating Picture and identify readiness gaps requiring command attention.

You Have:  

  • Knowledge of CBRN operations at the tactical and operational levels

  • Knowledge of Army and theater CBRN responsibilities and CBRN training shortfalls

  • Knowledge of JCS, Service, Army, and theater operations and crisis action policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of training and exercise administration, such as planning, coordinating, and overseeing a training program

  • Ability to analyze and implement a training budget and apply it to complex work assignments

  • Ability to ensure CBRN training is consistent with Service and Joint guidance

  • Ability to advise the staff regarding CBRN actions required to correct training shortfalls

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with CBRN operations or 10+ years of experience with CBRN operations in lieu of a degree

  • Active passport with at least 6 months validity for the purposes of visa applications

Nice If You Have:  

  • 6+ years of experience with CBRN operations and capabilities

  • Experience in supporting Joint Event Life Cycle for military exercises

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
