Contractor Program Security Officer

Key Role:

Manage classified government contract programs and oversight of the day-to-day operations of a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). Provide support in clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled areas associated with special access programs. Conduct highly sensitive security briefings. Coordinate all security education programs. Act as a primary liaison with upper management and outside agencies. Manage one security professional in the performance of their duties and support in career growth and development. Interact with internal and external clients or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine personnel security matters with employees regarding issues, report preparation, program security access briefings, and other duties, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a CPSO or security specialist administering security programs

  • Experience with SCI or SAP programs, JPAS, and eQIP

  • Knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, and DoD and COMSEC security requirements

  • Knowledge of the government classified contract process

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
