Operations Research Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Support a military command's directorate. Analyze the design and development of and apply a variety of data collection and decision analytics processes, including the employment of mathematical, statistical, and other analytic methods combined with military, governmental, and business judgment to fulfill the Command’s campaign support plan (CSP) objectives. Coordinate and develop decision briefings and analytical papers, facilitate senior leadership decision making, and inform the future design of operations, actions, and activities to achieve required CSP intermediate objectives and required end states. Provide research and analyses and apply technical expertise, assessments, and other studies measuring the effectiveness of lines of effort (LOE) and lines of operations (LOO). Identify and articulate gaps and produce client recommendations for solutions to mitigate and fill gaps for established requirements. Analyze client operational planning processes, meetings, and update briefings to headquarters staff and facilitate data input across staff in accordance with CSP analytical assessment framework.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with operations research system analysis (ORSA), strategic plans, or information operations

-Experience with developing analytic methodologies, metrics, and decision criteria

-Experience with using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses

-Experience with using automated statistical packages to support analysis projects

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite

-Experience with preparing and presenting briefings and papers to senior leadership

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Operations Risk Systems Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as an officer in the functional areas of ORSA, strategic plans and policy, or information operations, or related service a plus

-Experience with knowledge management (KM) or decision support (DS) a plus

-Experience with Joint planning a plus

-Experience with the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) a plus

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance a plus

-MA or MS degree a plus

-Command and Staff College or related Service a plus
