IT Engineering Lead

Key Role:

Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals and objectives are met. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows-based systems and networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and system administration. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and Program Manager. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft Windows and networking. Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows and networking
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows Server
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware a plus
  • Experience with scripting and automation such as PowerShell
  • Experience with project management
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and practices
  • Possession of strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
