Cancer Program Strategy and Engagement Specialist

The Opportunity:

That is why we need an experienced Cancer Program Strategy and Engagement Scientist like you to provide high-quality support. 

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to clients in our health market, like the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. You’ll leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.  

You'll serve as a Cancer Program Strategy and Engagement Scientist helping clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating successful programs across the agency, and be readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success. 

What You’ll Work On

  • Build and manage processes to create visibility for cancer-related engagements and investments 
  • Maintain and socialize talking points and data to assist with recruiting, public and patient engagement, and reporting 
  • Serve as an internal point-of-contact and connector to the broader Cancer Moonshot federal community   
  • Advise on the development of key services and transition programs to support the entire R&D program lifecycle  
  • Advise on services and strategy for our client's late-stage technology accelerator, including metrics   
  • Collaborate with federal program managers to assess needs, translate needs into requirements, and then work with providers to deliver high quality outputs

You Have: 

  • 15+ years of experience with healthcare, population health, and product development
  • Experience in cancer research
  • Experience transitioning healthcare technologies in commercialization 
  • Knowledge of the cancer field, including major funding initiatives and opportunities  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 
  • Master's degree in a cancer, population health, or health science field

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations 
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, health system administration or medical device incubation preferred   
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities 
  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively 
  • Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligently adhere to deadlines and deliverables 
  • Possession of excellent project management, teamwork, and collaboration skills 
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
