Job Description
Key Role:
Drive strategic planning and delivery of communications related to key business functions such as People Services, Operations, and Mission & Technology, in partnership with other corporate business partners. Shape employee communications campaigns and strategic plans that align to the company’s most complex business objectives, priorities, and broader communications efforts. Provide thought leadership that elevates employee communications, bringing forward outside-in thinking to align the organization with best-in-class practices. Write a range of high-quality and clear communications materials, including key messages, talking points, FAQs, intranet, and employee news editorial content. Create clear and compelling messaging and content through storytelling techniques for a variety of channels. Co-create and edit communications products, manage production schedules, and publish content optimized for search and discovery. Track metrics in support of communications goals and objectives, reporting progress against key milestones and tempos. Ensure all functional communication adheres to corporate branding, identity, and narrative architecture guidelines. Serve as a trusted advisor, applying discernment when collaborating with peer functions and ensuring work is integrated and aligned to priorities. Socialize innovative ideas and process improvements, showing bold thinking, sound judgement, and exceptional functional expertise. Promote an inclusive, trusting team environment by coaching other communications specialists, soliciting and providing constructive feedback, and leveraging knowledge-sharing networks. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience leading and developing comprehensive integrated communications and engagement strategies in corporate communications, government public affairs, or public relations
Experience driving communications across multi-disciplinary project teams in a large or matrixed organization
Experience with employee communications intranets and content management systems
Experience with Office365 Product Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Experience authoring and publishing original content
Experience creating, overseeing, and executing communication plans for key corporate communications initiatives
Experience working with senior executives, socializing strategies, and gaining buy-in
Ability to deliver a portfolio of work samples
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to deliver management consulting services to a Fortune 500 company
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging messages
Master's degree in Communications or Marketing

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
