Job Description
Key Role:
Develop and execute strategic legislative engagement and advocacy initiatives. Collaborate closely with senior executives and key business leaders across the company to maintain awareness of civil business priorities, as well as identify potential risks and benefits associated with various policy, legislative, and regulatory initiatives, particularly in areas such as health, veterans’ affairs, energy and climate, transportation, and more. Coordinate and represent Booz Allen’s strategic policy and advocacy objectives before lawmakers, policymakers, and other stakeholders, including trade associations and industry peers. Develop and manage a budget for Booz Allen Political Action Committee disbursements that align with the Civil portfolio. Ensure that all activities comply with relevant laws, Booz Allen policies, and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience working with public policy, lobbying, leading people, defining strategy, establishing client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions
- Experience working on Capitol Hill or lobbying Congress
- Experience managing projects and direct reports and developing and executing long-term strategies with clearly defined measurable outcomes
- Experience with using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working collaboratively with members of both parties, including established relationships with Members of Congress and their staff
- Knowledge of legislative issues across civil agencies and committees, including in the areas of health, veterans' affairs, energy and climate, Transportation, Education and Labor, Finance, and Ways & Means
- Knowledge of Congress and the legislative process
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience delivering corporate government relations communications with key elected officials, regulators, agencies, trade associations, and executive branch and administration officials to achieve business objectives
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including addressing complex matters and solutions with senior leadership and building and briefing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Possession of excellent judgment and leadership skills, including adhering to the highest ethical standards
- Possession of excellent organizational and people management skills, including project management and team leadership and mentorship

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $139,400.00 to $259,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
