Job Description
Key Role:
Assist in the design, testing, and development of next-generation US government and defense microelectronics technologies, focusing on semiconductor portal platforms for failure analysis and mitigation. Leverage knowledge of current and future defense system needs to integrate advanced microelectronics solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance CSPAM systems, improving performance and functionality for defense applications. Support the analysis and interpretation of data to inform design improvements and work with packaging engineers on next-gen semiconductor packaging techniques. Evaluate advanced packaging materials and methods to enhance durability and performance for defense systems. Contribute to the development and simulation of RF and optoelectronic microelectronic systems to optimize signal integrity, power efficiency, and performance for defense missions. Participate in designing and testing RF circuits and optoelectronic devices, including photodetectors and modulators. Conduct simulations and analyze experimental data to predict and validate system performance. Identify promising industry partners and technologies, collaborating to define technical and business strategies for engagement. Support the development of modernization tech roadmaps for microelectronics, coordinating with DoD leaders, Services, Agencies, and key partners. Maintain and refine S&T roadmaps based on feedback from stakeholders and changes to technology investments. Assist in testing new designs, identifying issues, and proposing solutions. Collaborate with engineers to meet project milestones, document findings, and present results clearly. Ensure all work complies with internal standards and DoD requirements, and assist in compiling progress reports for government clients and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with microelectronic systems engineering and technology development programs
- Experience in microelectronics and semiconductor industry
- Knowledge of integrated circuit design, verification, fabrication, or packaging
- Knowledge of basic testing and data analysis methods, including interpreting and presenting technical data
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Computer Engineering by Spring 2026

- Experience with working in strategy or management consulting
- Experience with data discovery and visualization
- Ability to engage and collaborate with peers, leadership, and cross functional teams
- Ability to be articulate, persuasive, enthusiastic, and a good storyteller
- Possession of excellent client relationship skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
