Program Support Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a Program Support Specialist, you’ll be part of a dynamic Program Management Office supporting a geographically dispersed team, providing comprehensive quality assurance reviews of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), deliverables, and travel reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across program operations. You will conduct document editing and formatting, maintain a SOP library, and perform quality checks against contract and program requirements. In addition, you will assist with travel-related processes, including reviewing Travel Authorization Requests, Trip Reports, expense reports and travel vouchers for accuracy, processing expense exceptions, routing approvals, performing detailed comparisons of travel expenses against estimates and actual costs, and managing data collection, entry, and tracking. Your responsibilities also include coordinating with program leaders, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing guidance and resources such as SOPs and training guides to program personnel.

You Have: 

  • 2+ years of experience ensuring accuracy, completeness, and error-free documents or reports, including performing quality control and assurance checks

  • 2+ years of experience with editing and formatting documents

  • Experience reviewing and processing travel-related documentation, including expense reports and cost comparisons

  • Experience capturing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting travel and quality performance data

  • Experience developing and using trackers to monitor status of tasks and deliverables

  • Experience maintaining SOPs and managing SOP libraries

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with multiple stakeholders

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience collaborating and building effective working relationships with teams

  • Experience with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and compliance with travel policies

  • Experience with travel management and booking systems

  • Experience with FEDSIM or AAS contracts and Department of War (DoW) organizations

  • Ability to identify process improvements and recommend solutions

  • Master’s degree

  • PMI CAPM or PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
