Cloud Network Operations Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Monitor cloud network administration and maintenance operations. Manage the design evolution of existing cloud operational networks and resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth running of the network operation. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or GCP 
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces 
• Experience configuring network security components from Palo Alto   
• Experience configuring routers, switches, and network appliances 
• Experience working with access control and network layer administration, and working with routing policies, network architecture, and IP subnetting 
• Experience working with network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, UPD, BGP, and OSPF 
• Secret clearance 
• Associate’s degree and 8+ years of experience supporting operations and maintenance for secure cloud engineering systems, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting operations and maintenance for secure cloud engineering systems
• DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Baseline Certification such as Security+ Certification  

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with scripting languages, including Bash, Ansible, or YAML, and the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
• Experience with networking in a multi-cloud environment and hybrid environments 
• Experience with the Windows Operating System and Active Directory 
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker 
• Experience with AWS cloud-native network and solutions, including VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC FlowLogs, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, DNS, Load Balancing, Security Groups, and ACLs 
• Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies 
• Knowledge of firewall policy and firewall policy troubleshooting   
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering concepts 
• TS/SCI clearance 
• CCNA, CCIE, Palo Alto Security, or similar Networking Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
