Business Intelligence Developer

Key Role:

Leads in the design, development, testing and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications. Provides end-user support for the implementation and usage of business intelligence systems. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Intelligence applications

  • Experience with Python, T-SQL, and SQL

  • Experience creating visual reports in business intelligence software, such as Power BI

  • Experience with data modeling philosophies, such as Kimbal and data orchestration tools, including AirFlow and Dagster

  • Experience with Machine Learning algorithms, Git Hub, and Azure Dev Ops

  • Experience with developing ETL scripts for data automation, Azure, and virtual machines configuration and testing

  • Knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis, and modeling

  • Ability to create solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team, and attend meetings and workshops to present on project work and participate in discussions

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, or Computer Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA

  • Experience with data associated with IT infrastructure or other infrastructure construction projects

  • Experience with Content Delivery and Content Integration tools

  • Experience developing custom Microsoft Power Apps

  • Experience with creating and testing modules and components for compliance with design specifications

  • Experience performing scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including the writing and editing of project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, proofreading of draft and final documents

  • Ability to grasp detailed program specifications or documentation, and participate in design and code reviews, and address findings

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
