Operational Intelligence Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity:

With all the information available today, it takes a skilled intelligence expert to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. With the critical decisions made in the Department of Defense (DoD) every day, we need an intelligence expert that is highly skilled in all-source intelligence and data analysis like you to do just that. As an Operational Intelligence Specialist, you’ll use your specialized functional experience and your attention to detail to develop assessments to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters.

As an Operational Intelligence Specialist on our team, you’ll apply expertise in military intelligence planning or fusing all-source intelligence analysis and collection methods to enhance the client mission. You will provide training and advisory support on matters related to operational intelligence planning and multidomain collaboration, and all-source intelligence in support of organizational priorities and objectives. You’ll develop and implement civilian harm and mitigation response practices and training programs centered on command post exercises designed to increase joint operational capabilities, refine command and control procedures, and enhance interoperability. You will join a team of military planners and joint fires or targeting experts focused on Largescale Combat Operations involving multidomain collaboration, with a potential for deployment to support exercises and operational missions.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience working with DoD military intelligence planning
  • 5+ years of experience with all-source intelligence collection, analysis, and production methods or techniques
  • Experience as an intelligence officer focused on DoD operational planning activities at a 2-star level command or higher, including a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, Division, Corps, or Service Component Command
  • Experience leading meetings and developing presentations and briefings for use by senior leaders
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently with minimal guidance
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduate of Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Intermediate Level Education (ILE)

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience interacting at the Combatant Command or Service Component Command level
  • Experience with joint intelligence planning, including all-source intelligence collection requirements
  • Experience conducting all-source research, synthesizing information, and producing analytical products
  • Knowledge of classified databases to research Intelligence Community products
  • Knowledge of U.S. defense intelligence enterprise 
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree
  • Graduate of a Senior Service College such as a War College

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
