Air/Ground Live/Virtual/Constructive Training Environment Planner

Key Role:
Deliver tailored support that enables commanders to attain mission readiness for the US Marine Corps synthetic training environment. Design exercise scenarios, make recommendations on resources available to meet training needs, and coordinate with Training Support Division (TSD) and the Battle Simulation Center (BSC) to facilitate and conduct synthetic integration of exercises and training systems. Integrate synthetic and ground, logistics, or C2 training systems at all sites and provide recommendations that define future synthetic training requirements and environments. Leverage subject matter expertise in Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations in the development of synthetic exercises or enhancing live exercises with synthetic additions. Facilitate training coordination with the TSD, BSC, and other support personnel. Facilitate the conduction of exercises, deliver training gaps assessments for local unit and USMC training objectives, assist the TSD with providing training support to the training unit on the training systems available, and deliver exercise design support. Assist the unit commander, operations officers, and training officers with integrating USMC training systems and devices into the unit training plan.

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience with MAGTF as a Staff Officer or Senior Enlisted or equivalent GS level

-Experience with synthetic training and education delivery  

-Experience with existing aviation and ground simulations, including Virtual Battlespace (VBS3), Tactical Decision Support Suites, Aviation Distributed Virtual Training Environment (ADVTE), the Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT), Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE), Combined Arms Command and Control Upgrade System (CACCTUS), or the Improved Moving Target Simulator (IMTS), and the usage of constructive simulations, such as the MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation to support unit training objectives
-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-3 years of experience with supporting a General Officer Staff headquarters

-Experience as a FAAC-A or Air Officer at Battalion or higher element

-Experience with Marine Corps Training and Operations Group (MCTOG), Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS), or Training and Education Command a plus 

-Experience with Aviation Training Systems (ATS) or MATSS a plus

-Knowledge of software development and gaming engines, including Unity
