Aircraft Noise Modeler, Senior

Key Role:

Work under general supervision, and follow basic plan, schedule and budget determinations, performs complex facility planning and scheduling tasks. Maintain responsibility for the definition of requirements and selection of approaches to the solution. Support new or unusual solutions based on advanced principles within the facilities and construction trades. Work with extensive freedom for independent action. Estimate, plan, schedule, prepare layouts, coordinate, provide follow-up and reports on major facility and maintenance projects, new construction and modifications. Prepare facilities estimates and site proposals for management review as to cost and feasibility. Plan and schedules approved projects for completion by in-house personnel and outside contractors. Coordinate all phases between user, plant resources, outside vendors and contractors to accomplish prepared results in an economic and timely manner. Support follow-up on cost, budgets, job control, material, tools and related items that pertains to projects. Compile and presents reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis and forecast. Leverage knowledge of building construction, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and related trades. Leverage comprehension of facility cost estimating, planning and scheduling techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

​-Experience with military aircraft operations

-Knowledge of sciences behind aircraft acoustics

-Ability to show proficiency in current DoD noise modeling software

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree Planning, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Air Force Noise and AICUZ programs

-Ability to show proficiency in Microsoft Excel

-Ability to use ESRI ArcMap software to perform GIS analysis

-Ability to show proficiency in creating and maintaining Microsoft Access data repositories and toolsets

-American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification
