AMHS System Administrator

Key Role:

Perform day-to-day system administration services and maintain responsibility for supporting IT disciplines and practices. Ensure the operations, confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets with established standards and procedures. Work closely with information owners, USINDOPACOM directorates, systems staff, network staff and Cybersecurity staff to ensure system, application operations and security is achieved, including ensuring maintenance and reports are accurate for USINDOPACOM networks. Operate, enhance, secure, monitor, initiate corrective actions and report on systems under client’s assigned responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) used in DoD environment

-Experience with building, maintaining, installing, updating, patching and securing AMHS operating systems and applications for all current, including USINDOPACOM systems and applications

-Experience with VMWare virtualized environment

-Experience with managing and reviewing audit logs and supporting Host Based Security System (HBSS) Endpoints on Windows Server and workstation operating systems in a DoD environment

-Experience in securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD and INDOPACOM regulations, directives, policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

-Experience of Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) in a DoD environment

-Knowledge of Doubletake, Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) v7.5 or later, Microsoft SQL 2008 or later, Microsoft Server, Windows 2008 R2, Microsoft Workstation, Windows 10, and STMP Relay

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-IAT II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or a related field

-Experience with leveraging all source intelligence analysis

-Experience with HBSS, Splunk, or ArcSight

-Experience with backing up and restoring AMHS applications and systems in a virtual environment, via automated tools, including Back-up Exec

-Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Visio  

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills in a professional consulting environment

-BA or BS degree in Information Security, CS, or Cybersecurity
