Avionics Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for US Air Force Cybersecurity policies and procedures. Support assessment of the Cyber posture of legacy aircraft systems and assist with the determination of a prioritization strategy to fix existing and future Cyber vulnerabilities. Work closely with the development team to review, document, verify, and support Cybersecurity resiliency. Support the identification of current and future Cyber resilient analyses to comprehend and classify the criticality, risk, and feasibility of mitigation strategies for legacy systems. Support the government in advising on system security, planning, progress, and risks and ensure Cybersecurity is incorporated into all aspects of system development and implementation. Ensure system vulnerabilities are tracked, categorized, and mitigated against risks and support the documentation of system vulnerabilities into automated systems and tools.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with standard avionics hardware or software

-Experience with Cybersecurity assessment and mitigation strategies

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in a Cyber, Engineering, or Avionics related field

-DoDI 8570 IAM Level II Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of embedded avionics software

-Knowledge of network architecture analysis, verification and validation of requirements, and the risk management process

-Knowledge of the NIST Special Publication 800–53

-Ability to manage complex activities on short time scales simultaneously

-TS/SCI clearance

-MS degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
