Built Infrastructure Planner

Key Role:

Work with a team to support the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) planning and integration client. Analyze civil engineering and non-civil engineering strategic plans and associated goals for possible built or natural infrastructure implications. Drive the development of a set of objectives at the execution level, including driving tactical planning at the installation level and setting a path for infrastructure management and portfolio investment strategies. Define requirements and select approaches. Interface with Air Force clients daily. Use multiple analytical platforms to perform analysis. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in the regional, community planning, civil engineering, or legislation fields

-Experience with DoD comprehensive planning

-Experience with working in an administrative capacity, including developing reports and presentations and analyzing data

-Knowledge of Air Force planning and programs, sustainable communities, comprehensive planning, regional planning, and land use planning required

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Air Force Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development and planning, Program Element Code (PEC) funding types, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planning

-Ability to use data visualization platforms, including Tableau, Power BI, ESRI, AutoCAD, and Inframeworks

-BA or BS degree in Planning, Engineering, Geography, or Engineering

-Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or Geospatial Information Systems Professional (GISP) Certification
