Business Systems Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Formulate and define systems scope and objective based on both user needs and comprehension of applicable business systems and industry requirements under general direction. Analyze procedures to solve complex problems while considering computer equipment capability and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper system requirement specifications. Guide and advise junior business systems analysts. Work at the highest level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Apply highly-developed domain expertise, stakeholder relationships, and advanced capability knowledge to the development of complex, mission critical applications. Identify stakeholders’ business and system requirements and translate and decompose those needs into actionable software requirements, test criteria, and scenarios.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as a digital business or system requirements analyst, including defining, simplifying, or translating business requirements

-3+ years of experience with Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices, including the Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

-Experience with creating and reviewing standard SDLC and enterprise performance life cycle (EPLC) documents and artifacts

-Experience with supporting alternatives analysis and systems impact assessment
-Ability to document business rules and impacted processes or systems and functional and technical specifications using process flows, epics and user stories, and Agile tools, such as JIRA and Confluence, and UX artifacts, such as personas, use cases, scenarios, journey and experience maps, and wireframes

-Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, comprehend the intent of a client’s needs, and help to shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities
-Ability to work with application development teams during high level design and testing in ensuring that IT systems meet user needs

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to work with diverse stakeholders

-Ability to gather and document technical and operational requirements and create mockups

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
