Cloud Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Support the design, deployment, and operations of firm specific Cloud implementations across major Cloud service providers as a key member of a high-visibility corporate team delivering Cloud services to internal firm customers. Collaborate with a team responsible for the development of technical controls and automated enforcement of firm Cloud governance principles, automating the orchestration of account, subscription delivery, and providing technical guidance and developing best practices for teams working within established standards. Leverage excellent technical, consulting, and presentation competencies to support regular, direct interaction with customers and internal cross functional teams. Review, develop, manage and maintain the technical requirements for establishing new Cloud based platform and application services. Assist with test, prototype, and implementation of Cloud based architectures with an emphasis on security and monitoring. Develop system architectures for automated provisioning of enterprise PaaS or IaaS in a multi-tenant or hybrid Cloud and implement Web services using Cloud service offerings from public or private Cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Analyze industry standards, open source platforms and vendor tools with an emphasis on Cloud portability and interoperability. Conduct Cloud computing technology research, evaluation and tradeoff analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Compute

-2+ years of experience with Linux

-Experience in designing, deploying, and operating workloads in Azure and AWS

-Experience in complex Cloud environments

-Ability to be a self-motivated, continuous learner with a proven Cloud expertise

-Ability to follow established systems engineering and software development principals adopted by the firm and team in day to day operations

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with command line interfaces using PowerShell and Python

-Experience with orchestration tools and languages, including Ansible, Chef, and Puppet

-Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture Technologies and SOAP and REST Web services

-Knowledge of functional expertise in modern design and development in at least one of the major Cloud service providers

-Ability to script and code solutions in Python or PowerShell

-AWS, Azure, Google Associate level or Architect Certification
