Cloud Security Engineer

Key Role:

Provide Cloud security engineering support to civil and commercial groups. Design and implement Cloud security controls for cutting-edge technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, and compliance tools. Build and review network and firewall configurations, configure Nessus scanners, deploy Cloud endpoint agents, and implement Cloud platform best practices. Apply modern development and hosting concepts, including DevSecOps, automation and orchestration to deliver highly secure, resilient, scalable, and efficient solutions. Research new and emerging Cloud and Cybersecurity solutions to solve client challenges. This position may be conducted in California, Texas, NYC, and the DC Metro area, but the position requires up to 90% travel to client sites.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with Cybersecurity or Cloud security practices

-2+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

-2+ years of experience with implementing and configuring IT infrastructure systems, including operating systems, applications, databases, firewalls, and networks

-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint

-Experience with scripting and API integrations

-Knowledge of vulnerability assessments, security testing, or intrusion detection

-Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts

-Ability to travel up to 90% of the time

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of the project as it relates to Cybersecurity and the client's business

-Knowledge of Cyber threats as they relate to Cloud environments

-Ability to analyze and solve complex challenges

-Ability to learn new IT expertise and concepts quickly

-Ability to contributing to a positive team attitude

-Possession of excellent consulting skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
