Communications and Change Consultant

Key Role:
Apply expertise in a range of strategic communication sets with a focus on social marketing and behavior change. Write a variety of different types of materials, including behavior change plans, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, official correspondence, fact sheets, web content, and blog posts. Leverage expertise in many different research disciplines, including survey research, focus group facilitation, design thinking, and other methodologies. Support day to day communications tasks, including media outreach, contact database management, media tracking, web and social media updates and collateral development. Develop relationships across teams to research content, facilitate cross-team collaboration, and identify emerging communications opportunities. Work with creative staff to develop compelling campaigns that influence target audiences. Comprehend the latest communications tools and trends to be able to strategically recommend, apply, and execute innovative solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in the communications field
-Experience with social marketing, behavior change, and change management
-Experience with using digital outreach and social media channels to engage stakeholders
-Experience in working with creative staff to develop compelling campaigns
-Experience with a range of writing styles, including social marketing plans, speeches, fact sheets, social media, formal correspondence, and campaigns
-Knowledge of research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, and design thinking
-Ability to work independently and in teams and interact with senior-level clients

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with government consulting or contracting
-Experience with energy issues and the energy industry, including energy efficiency and renewable energy
-Experience with the military, including the Army
-Secret clearance
-MA or MS degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing
