Configuration Manager

Key Role:

Provide ITIL program office configuration management and change management process support. Monitor all service assets and Configuration Items (CIs) and validate and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMD) for all OIT services, applications, and infrastructure. Ensure all service items are approved for use using National Directive 6004. Provide configuration management for all services, hardware, and software and perform and document software and hardware baselines. Comply with Services Asset Configuration Management (SACM) policies and procedures. Manage Request for Change (RFC) processes, standardize processes, and identify, prioritize, plan, schedule, and monitor implementation. Provide operational management of RFC implementation, success, or issues, manage documentation, and participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in management configuration programs to ensure that all proposed and actual changes to program technology and documentation are properly staffed, approved, and tracked

-Experience with facilitating the change notification process used for updating products

-Ability to ensure notification of performing organizations or project teams of change activity

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 13+ years of experience with configuration management or BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Engineering Management, or Mathematics and 5+ years of experience with configuration management
