Corporate Subcontracts Summer Intern

Key Role:

Learn subcontract fundamentals in a professional training and development environment, including gaining knowledge of important elements of the environment and becoming aware how the team serves as a highly impactful business partner at Booz Allen. Work under direct supervision, assist the subcontracts department with subcontract administration functions and duties for various types of federal government prime contracts, including multiple award contracts, IDIQ contracts, blanket purchase agreements, subcontractor agreements, non-disclosure, and teaming agreements. Learn to perform subcontract set up in accordance with a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) environment in the firm’s procurement systems, SCMS, and eContracting for new awards and modifications. Ensure subcontract documents, including task order awards, modifications, checklists, insurance certifications, and other documents are filed properly in the electronic file documentation system (SFM). Assist subcontracts staff with preparing contractual documents for proposal submissions and awards. Assist with internal compliance initiatives via research and data collection for subcontract documents, as directed. Ensure appropriate prime contract flow downs and firm provisions are incorporated into agreements and support the subcontracts department in general daily administrative tasks under direct supervision. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with legal, contracts, business, and finance in a professional or educational environment

-Ability to work as part of a team

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-Rising Junior scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree by December 2020 or May-June 2021

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent organizational skills 

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
