Cyber Incident Handler

Key Role:

Support DoD Cybersecurity operations by coordinating defensive Cyberspace operations during critical and high-tempo operations in accordance with established policies and best practices. Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Consult on integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to administer Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, data spillage, and incident response actions. Participate in testing, deploying, and administering the infrastructure hardware and software required to effectively manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:   

-Experience with network security

-Experience with event escalation and reporting procedures and supporting network investigations

-Knowledge of TCP/IP communications and how common protocols and applications work at the network level
-Knowledge of network monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and configuration control technologies

-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED

-Security+ CE and CEH Certifications
 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a 24/7 SOC environment, including shift work

-Experience in managing cases with enterprise SIEM and logging systems

-Ability to learn and adapt quickly

-TS/SCI clearance

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent analytical skills, including strict attention to detail, critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Information Security, or Information Systems

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
