Cyber Penetration Tester

Key Role:

Work as a professional with expertise in penetration testing, including assisting with applying the systems engineering life cycle to translating strategic Cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions. Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, including installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications, and training users. Analyze the development of risk management plans on program and project data clean-up, including periodic re-investigations and other agency background investigation requests to ensure the program meets the federal requirements. Research and review existing policy documents and propose supporting them. Monitor policy and regulation compliance and support selecting and applying processes and methodologies to meet Cyber performance objectives. Leverage expertise in leadership and problem-solving, be highly organized, and manage multiple efforts concurrently. Build relationships with clients and a team by leveraging expertise in interpersonal communication and provide operational support for identifying solutions to network, application, and infrastructure issues.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with working in the intelligence community (IC)

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Experience with the systems engineering life cycle, software development, or penetration testing

-Knowledge of secure coding standards or software and Cybersecurity best practices
-Knowledge of information security and IT approaches

-Ability to be a team player and work in a collaborative environment

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with industry leading SIEM tools such as Arcsight or Splunk

-Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux/CentOS 7, Docker application management, ACAS/Nessus scanning, and software vulnerabilities and exploits

-Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, be self-motivated, and to multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, IT, IS, or a related Cyber field

-DoD 8570 IAT II Certification security +, CISSP or CEH
