Cyber Solutions and Platform Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze the Cyber posture of complex Navy systems, applying critical expertise to mitigate Cyber risks, and develop solutions to ensure Navy programs support mission critical operations and deliver required Cybersecurity functionality. Work to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate the customer's needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. Use research, knowledge of industry best practices, DoD and DON policies, and information system security engineering to provide solutions to the Navy customer's complex Cyber concerns. Provide senior-level Cybersecurity oversight and support for a portfolio of hull, mechanical, and engineering systems (HM&E) across several Navy platforms, work with modernization teams to evaluate changes, support required certification and authorization efforts, maintain Cyber compliance, and enhance security of HM&E systems.

Basic Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, Cyber engineering, or IT

- Experience with DoD Cybersecurity systems and programs, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), and authorization processes

- Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), development DoD and Navy authorization artifacts and documentation, and processing an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for Navy programs

- Experience with control systems, platform information technology (PIT), or (HM&E)

- Knowledge of DoD security policies and Cyber requirements

- Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications, including the 800-53 security controls

- Ability to develop and communicate recommendations for incorporating security requirements and validate and test security controls in DoD systems

- Secret clearance

- BA or BS degree
- IAT II Certification or higher, including Security+

Additional Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity and information assurance for DoD and Navy networks and systems

- Experience with engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of systems, networks, and information

- Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Cybersecurity solutions

- Experience with protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and networks hardened against attacks, and securing sensitive and classified data

- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and scanning tools, including the Assurance Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and assessing system compliance with security controls 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
