Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Design and implement solutions to secure critical client systems, data, and infrastructure. Identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. Research new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and help to drive the client to go where the industry is going. Take a critical approach to security design, including providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. Help customers to overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices, including network and application segmentation, intra-application communication controls, and remote access authentication and authorization.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with systems engineering, project management, and Cybersecurity

-2+ years of experience with supporting large, complex, high visibility Cybersecurity projects

-Experience with implementing and understanding PKI

-Experience with security appliances, including ForeScout CounterACT, IBM BigFix, Cisco Firepower, and IBM QRadar

-Experience with writing for Regular Expressions (regex), Python, and PowerShell

-Experience with leading a Cybersecurity engineering team, managing multiple projects, tasking staff, tracking progress, providing feedback, and developing staff

-Experience with operating system languages and language packs and Cybersecurity products, including anti-virus and endpoint security variants and methods

-Experience with working in highly virtualized environments, including VMware or Nutanix

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with tools, including Jira and Confluence

-Experience with working in an SOC or Incident Response team

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing enterprise environments, including separating and securing multi-tiered Web-based applications

-Knowledge of firmware or embedded systems, networking protocols, routing, and firewalls

-Knowledge of Windows, Linux, including RHEL or CentOS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and ADFS

-Ability to collect, consolidate, and translate stakeholder requests into project requirements

-Ability to analyze engineering documentation, requirements, and specifications

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
