Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:
Support Cybersecurity engineering services across a range of activities, including Cyber threat analysis, malware analysis, network traffic analysis, Cyber forensics, red teaming, and system development. Apply knowledge to simulated Cyber training environment. Support and recommend mitigating controls or remediation to malware and other malicious type code and applications. Work to continually improve current malware analysis techniques. Support technical prototyping to improve the Cybersecurity posture for the client or government sector. Conduct ongoing research of Cyber threat actors to identify emerging attacks and threats.

Basic Qualifications:

-Knowledge of two or more of the following: Cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, Cyber forensics, or system engineering

-Knowledge of the latest Cybersecurity threats, tools, vulnerabilities, and malware families

-Knowledge of malware construction, usage, and detection techniques

-Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac, application behaviors, and network traffic analysis to identify malware exploits

-Knowledge of networking and virtualization

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with malware analysis tools such as IDA Pro, Remnux, SIFT Workstation, FTK

-Experience with worms, viruses, Trojans, rootkits, and botnets

-Experience with writing or developing signatures

-Experience with working on a Cyberspace protection or national mission team

-Ability to automate through the development and deployment of custom scripts

-BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, or relevant field

-GREM, GCFA, or GCTI Certification or ability to obtain
