Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance Analyst

Key Role:
Under limited supervision, develop strategic plans to ensure a Navy client aligns its Cybersecurity posture with a Navy’s Cybersecurity program by implementing policies and governance through the operation and maintenance of assigned platforms. Attend, comprehend, and make intelligible decisions or contributions at meetings, conferences, and working groups. Evaluate the effectiveness of the cilent's current information assurance processes and procedures, including the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) of applications, systems, and networks in meeting the intent of the program's initiative and suggest potential improvements. Collaborate with the Navy client and applicable Navy System and Type Commands to promote a consistent approach to the program and recommend Cybersecurity requirements to be included in the design, installation, operation, upgrade, or replacement of Navy information systems. Apply technical expertise in Cybersecurity issues, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Collaboration, and Intelligence (C5I) architecture, and A&A package processing within DIACAP or RMF to guide strategic initiatives aimed at improving the Fleet’s alignment with the program. Develop executive level program briefs, and ensure conformance of all work products with existing DoD, and DoN policies and standards, as applicable. Assist with the analysis and implementation of process improvements as a member of the project team. Maintain responsibility of daily contact with client staff action officers and stakeholders for information and data collection, and participate in client meetings.


Basic Qualifications:
-8 years of experience with evaluating and promoting Navy Cybersecurity

-Knowledge of current client Cybersecurity issues and C5I architecture

-Knowledge of Information Assurance Technical Authority (IA TA) standards

-Knowledge of the Navy’s Certification and Accreditation (A&A) process

-Knowledge of the Navy’s Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Ability to independently attend, comprehend, and make intelligible decisions or contributions at meetings, conferences, or working groups

-Ability to apply technical expertise in Cybersecurity issues, C5I architecture, and A&A package processing within DIACAP or RMF to guide strategic initiatives

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD 8570 IAM Level III Certification, including CISSP

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Navy A&A

-Experience with OPNAV Instruction 5239.4

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
