Data Analyst / Management Consultant, Mid

Key Role:

Assist with general management consulting and data analysis services to a US Department of the Interior (DOI) program. Leverage knowledge and comprehension of underlying functional expertise required to design and implement solutions for a client’s asset management program that leverages pillars of the management consulting capability organization design and mission support optimization, process improvement, performance management, strategy development and transformation, and change management. Support and lead infrastructure and real property data analysis, including incorporation of life cycle asset management concepts into those efforts. Assist with extensive analysis of large data sets using Microsoft Excel and other analytical expertise and toolsets, including incorporate result of analysis into strategic infrastructure planning and investment efforts. Leverage data visualization capabilities and tools across various projects to support performance measurement with executive-level asset portfolio dashboards. Identify opportunities for improvement of asset management and analytical services provided to the client, and prepare and support delivery of briefings and reports on analysis methods and results. Work under general supervision with few direct instructions and ensure effective client communications with senior staff members.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in data analysis and data visualization

-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or other data-driven programming language, including Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python

-Experience with client service and interacting with all levels of management

-Ability to produce reports, dashboards, and decks with various analytical tools

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing tasks

-BA or BS degree focused on data science, business, economics, engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to show interest in infrastructure and facilities management

-Ability to work as a positive, proactive, and professional team player

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
