Data Scientist, Mid

Key Role:

Work as a data scientist DevOps engineer to support the practices of continuous integration and continuous delivery and deployment through the automation of application builds and compute environments. Work with development teams to ensure their applications can be deployed and maintained at scale using automation. Assist with facilitating qualitative and quantitative relationships, including patterns and trends from large amounts of data that can be represented either numerically or categorically. Provide solutions for highly technical, complex problems. Serve as an integral part of a software development team and participate in requirements gathering and analysis, process and systems definition, data analysis, presentation of analysis to clients and customers, and development of algorithm driven products and solutions.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as a data scientist

-3+ years of experience with software development in a host of languages, including C#, C++, Java, or Python

-1 year of experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts

-Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Big Data analysis

-Experience with the Agile Development process

-Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) propagation and modeling and simulation (M&S)

-Experience with military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs

-Ability to travel to client sites up to 10-20% of the time throughout CONUS

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Data Science, Operations Research Systems Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics required


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with XML development and Microsoft SQL Server, including database design  

-Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket

-Experience with DoD spectrum management, particularly for the Army or Marine Corps

-Experience with applying Big Data technologies, including Spark and Hadoop

-Ability to lead analysis and deliverables

-Ability to learn new technologies, methods, and approaches in data science

-Ability to go above and beyond on client deliveries

-Ability to grow a data science team and create new capabilities

-TS/SCI clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
